pdBill lives the good life in northern New England. He is 46, and is married to his college sweetheart. Together they have two children, a dog, two cats, and six chickens.

A former daily newspaper reporter and editor, he led the creation of an in-house web technology consultancy for an Ivy League institution until his semi-retirement in 2003. He currently serves on the board of his children’s school, and is a leader of a regional Parkinson’s disease support group. He is a past president of the Vermont chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association.

He has put up with tremor-predominant Parkinson’s disease for more than 12 years. pdBill successfully underwent unilateral deep brain stimulation surgery on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, and is in the preliminaries for a second DBS procedure.
